Do
you rent properties?
No. We advertise properties that are for rent directly from
the owner or their appointed agent. All enquiries go direct
to the owner/ agent and at no point do Florida Rentals Direct
get involved in the booking process. Incidentally, we do not
charge any commissions, just a one off annual membership fee
for advertising with us.
How
soon will my webpage (advert) appear on the website?
Once your payment is received, your advert will be approved
and activated usually within a few hours (during normal UK
office hours).
How
do we make changes to our webpage?
You can make changes to your advert online via the
owners control panel. All changes will take immediate affect
in real time -this includes picture changes also.
How
many pictures can I have?
There is space on your webpage advert for 6 pictures.
You do not need to show six pictures, but the option is there
if you require it.
I
have my pictures on my PC - what size should they be for my
page?
All pictures should be 290 x 190 pixels in size to get the
best results when shown on your webpage. We can help you with
this, drop us an email if you are having problems.
Can
I email my photos to you to sort out?
No problem, Just email them to CustomerSupport@Florida-Rentals-Direct.com
and include your username and if possible, your property reference
number.
I
only have hard copy photos, but no scanner?
No problem, Just post them to us with a SAE and we'll
scan them in for you. Remember to include your username and
property reference number. Our address can be found on our
ContactUs page.
Is there a charge for making a change to my page?
No, since your advert is 100% fully automated, you
can make as many changes when and where you like, 24 hours
a-day, 7-days a-week.
I
can't see the changes I have just made?
More than likely you cannot see the changes to your
page because your browser has saved the page in it's memory
(cache) from the last time you visited the page. To correct
this just press the "Reload" or "Refresh"
button at the top of your Internet browser while holding down
the "Ctrl" key on your keyboard (bottom left).
Can
I market my webpage myself?
Yes indeed, feel free to add your webpage address to other
travel websites, maybe free classifieds and even your own
website. The more websites it is promoted on, the more potential
visitors for you.
Can
I use your website or my webpage address on my printed media?
Yes indeed, feel free.
We
don't seem to be renting our property. What could be wrong?
First, check your rental prices. How do they compare to owners
on our site with similar properties? Are you too high? If
so, lower your rate. The second thing is to take a look at
your photos. Is your property well lit? Can they really see how
nice it is? Are the pictures really poor? Do the pictures
of your views show a gray sky or a nice blue sky with the
sun shinning? Is your one line description intriguing enough
to get some to click on it and take a look at your page? Finally,
have you told them everything that is great about your vacation
rental in your description? If it doesn't sound like some
place you would want to visit, then maybe that is why other
people aren't renting your property. Be sure to double check your
contact information as well. Many times owners change email
addresses and never bother to change the email address in
their listings and wonder what append to their enquiries!.
Our
prices and pictures are great but still we can't see any activity
from your site. What else could be wrong?
There could be a number of things that could be going on.
If you have eliminated the fact that your pictures make your
rental look appealing and that your prices are in order, then
we have to look at some other areas. Are your phone numbers
correct on the page? Are you receiving email inquiries from
the page? If not, double check the email address by sending
yourself an enquiry. If everything checks out, by all means
contact us. We can take a look at your page and see what we
can do. If you have a link to your own website perhaps visitors
are being redirected away from FRD and not following through
with an enquiry - try removing the link to your own personal
website.
Do
you offer free trials to new advertisers?
Unfortunately, we do not and neither would the next person
that takes your newspaper classified advert. We have many
many advertisers and we WANT you to renew with us so we will
do everything we can to promote your webpage and bring you
enquiries for you to turn into bookings.
